Do you want to win a live CD??

Here is your chance to win one or more copies of any live CD from my collection!

So what do you have to do?

Statistically Elvis sang a one liner or excerpt in one of every two shows! An excerpt is one line or a few lines of a song which at the time of the show wasn't a regular song sung by Elvis. Or it was a song that Elvis even never had recorded. Examples of these are: Welcome to my world in 1975, For the good times in 1975, or lines of songs like: Detroit city, By the time I get to Phoenix, The easy part's over, Kaw-liga, Stop the world and let me off, etc.

The problem with these lasts category of excerpts is is that you need to know the original song well in order to correctly name the title of the song. Because quite often Elvis sings the first line of the song and that usually is not the same as the title of the song.

And this is where I need your help and where you can win live CDs.

Below there are some links to several currently unknown titled excerpts. I have numbered them and have given the venue and date for them. Have a listen to them and if you think you know from what songs these come from send me an email at: evdmeer@REMOVETHIS.dds.nl with the title you think the excerpt is and your choice of live show (look in the Collection section under concerts list to make your pick). The CD(s) will be sent to whereever you are in the world and free of charge!

After I have been able to verify the title then the CD will be sent.

You can also help in verification of the song. This will give you extra points.

Verification can be done in two ways.
1) via sheet music on paper from any lyrics book.
I used to go to the library for this.
2) via a sample of the same song by any other artist.

Helping me with the verification of a proposed title will earn you HALF a new live show. On this webpage will be marked the status of all the excerpts, so if you can verify a proposed title from any other excerpt it will earn you half a live show.

Okay so what is a valid verification?
1) Sending me a copy of the song from a sheet music book via a scan or via post.
Also the title of the book, publisher and ISBN number of the book should be mailed so that I can try and get hold of the book.
2) Sending or emailing me the song sung by any other artist in mp3 or via tape in snail mail, preferably including artist name.

Any more questions? Don't hesitate to send me an email and I'd be more then happy to answer your questions. Okay on to the excerpts now. You can choose them from the left.

All samples are zipped mp3 files.
The quality of the samples is not always that good. Quite often it is bad. That is what makes it so hard to determine what song it is. Unfortunately I don't have these shows in better quality. If you do then please contact me as well.
